We serve more than 4,000 seniors across our San Fernando Valley campuses, delivering personalized care tailored to each individual’s needs, from independent living to specialized healthcare programs.

Opportunities are available across multiple employment types (Full-Time, Part-Time, Per-Diem) and shifts (6:45 AM – 3:15 PM, 2:45 PM – 11:15 PM, 10:45 PM – 7:15 AM). Shift preferences will be discussed and confirmed during the interview process.

The responsibilities of the Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) include, but are not limited to: 

Responsibilities:

  • Complete and file all required record-keeping forms/charts upon resident admission, transfer, and/or discharge.
  • Chart nurses' notes and care plans in a clear, informative, and descriptive manner that accurately reflects the care provided to residents and their responses to such care.
  • Administer medications and document the process in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to established policies.
  • Deal tactfully and professionally with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
  • Demonstrate a strong knowledge of nursing and medical practices, procedures, and relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long-term care.
  • Exhibit leadership and supervisory abilities, and work effectively and harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
  • Plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures to ensure quality care.
  • Maintain patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm while handling challenging residents.
  • Be flexible and willing to work any shift as required.

Experience and Skills:

  • Licensed as a Vocational Nurse (VN) through the California Board of Vocational Nursing.
  • Verification of CPR (BLS) and First Aid certification.
  • Background clearance, TB screening, and successful completion of a health examination by a Los Angeles Jewish Health Nurse Practitioner or M.D.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a rehabilitation setting.
  • Strong clinical and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and supervisory skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
