Rapidly growing manufacturing organization needs a proactive Controller to take the accounting department to the next level!

Comp: $180-200K + discretionary bonus

Fully onsite role

CONTROLLER

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all accounting activities, specifically GL, treasury, A/P, A/R, payroll, and tax
• Develop and implement best practices for the accounting team’s day-to-day and month-end activities
• Generate accurate financial statements
• Lead the financial & government audits
• Perform budgeting & forecasting
• Ensure ASC 606 compliance
• Perform cost & inventory accounting functions
• Maintain a robust control environment regarding financial statements, identify gaps, recommend and implement changes
• Recruit, select, and train staff as needed
• Work with outside professional advisors in the areas of audit, tax, and other matters
• Lead projects which are aligned with the company’s annual business objectives

Requirements:

• 8+ years of accounting & financial reporting experience. At least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Prefer 2+ years with a public accounting firm. CPA is preferred
• Some manufacturing industry exposure is required
• Cost accounting experience is required
• Experience in bringing “best practices” to an accounting department
• Professional attitude and a desire to create positive change
• Ability to assess the needs of a growing department/business and execute a plan to meet those needs
• Strong communicator
• Exposure to DOD/Government contracts and accounting requirements (DCAA) highly preferred
• Experience in Lean and Six-Sigma methodologies a plus
• Experience with AS9100 or ISO 9000 quality standards a plus
