Position Summary Manages the planning and operations of a terminal. Oversees various terminal functions, including pickup and delivery, dock operations, and general administration.
Major Tasks And Responsibilities - Directs and coordinates the activities of terminal employees to provide cost effective, timely, and quality service to customers.
- Investigates customer complaints and resolves problems.
- Provides the necessary equipment, tools, and training to staff to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Coordinates staffing levels and work scheduling to maximize terminal productivity.
- Oversees compliance with company policies and procedures, safety rules, and governmental regulations.
- Uses software, data, and analytics to optimize operations, track production metrics, and anticipate and resolve problems.
- Interviews, selects, and onboards terminal employees.
- Facilitates good employee relations through motivation, feedback, and coaching.
Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
- 5+ years of terminal operations experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transportation management applications.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
Salary Range: $85,600.00 - $107,000.00 annually, based on experience. This position is bonus eligible.
