This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of Anchorage Digital. We are currently looking for a Revenue Accounting Manager in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to lead and scale the revenue accounting function in a high-growth digital asset environment. You will design, document, and implement revenue recognition processes for multiple business lines while ensuring compliance with ASC 606 standards. The position blends technical accounting expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and process improvement to support month-end close activities and large-scale financial operations. You will work closely with sales, legal, FP&A, and engineering teams to streamline revenue reporting, optimize accounting practices, and contribute to the organization’s growth. This role allows for impactful decision-making in a dynamic, fast-paced, and evolving environment.

Accountabilities:

  • Manage and support revenue recognition processes, ensuring accurate month-end close activities across multiple legal entities.
  • Oversee accounts receivable and revenue-related collections, ensuring timely and accurate recording.
  • Evaluate customer contracts for non-standard terms and document appropriate revenue accounting treatments in partnership with technical accounting.
  • Partner with sales and legal teams to ensure revenue recognition considerations during contract negotiations.
  • Coordinate fee calculations and settlements with external partners, implementing improvements and system controls as needed.
  • Conduct comprehensive revenue analyses and act as a key point of contact for FP&A on revenue matters.
  • Standardize, document, and communicate accounting processes to support automation and reduce single points of failure.
  • Assist with internal and external audit processes, ensuring compliance and timely reporting.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of relevant public accounting and/or industry experience in technical revenue accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and ability to research complex accounting issues with technical accounting teams.
  • Proven experience designing scalable processes for complex contracts and revenue recognition.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for handling large data sets.
  • Ability to multitask, thrive in ambiguity, and perform effectively in a fast-paced, evolving organization.
  • Bonus: Experience with NetSuite or other revenue recognition software, digital assets, SaaS, or technology industry exposure, and familiarity with blockchain/crypto innovations.
