Project Manager – Medicaid
Location: Remote
Salary: $120–170k

Sabot Consulting is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead large-scale Medicaid-related initiatives for our end client. This role focuses on procurement, RFI/RFP development, and CMS approvals to support Medicaid and CHIP programs.

Responsibilities:

• Lead all phases of project management: Initiation, Planning, Execution, Monitoring & Controlling, and Closing.
• Develop and implement project documentation templates and methodologies.
• Provide policy advice and support to KDHE-DHCF leadership.
• Manage stakeholder communications and facilitate meetings, including agenda creation, minute-taking, and action item tracking.
• Support the development and evaluation of RFIs and RFPs for Medicaid procurements.
• Conduct readiness reviews to assess compliance with state and federal requirements.
• Ensure timely, positive CMS approvals for project deliverables.
• Develop and maintain standardized reports and communication plans.
• Implement quality control methodologies and project tracking tools.

Must Have:

• PMP certification or equivalent project management credential.
• 4+ years of experience managing large, complex projects involving systems, policy, and operations.
• 2+ years of experience in procurement, including RFI and RFP development.
• Experience working with Medicaid programs across multiple states.
• Strong knowledge of project management frameworks such as PMBOK.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Nice To Have:

• Experience with CMS submission and approval processes.
• Familiarity with Medicaid operations.
• Proficiency in project management tools and documentation systems.
• Experience developing fixed-price models and staffing plans for Medicaid projects.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
