Sibley Memorial Hospital, a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine, has a distinguished history of serving the community since its founding in 1890. As a not-for-profit and full-service community hospital, Sibley offers medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetric, oncology, orthopedic and skilled nursing inpatient services, as well as a 24-hour Emergency Department. Sibley’s campus is also home to Grand Oaks, an assisted living residence; a medical building with physician offices and ambulatory surgery and imaging centers.
What Awaits You?
As Pharmacy Buyer , you will be responsible for the procurement and pricing of all medications and the subsequent fiscal and physical operational management of the resulting inventory. Responsible for preparing invoices for payment and maintaining required purchasing and inventory records. Assist the Director and Supervisor in the evaluation, selection and implementation of purchasing contract options and formulary management decisions made by the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. May provide back-up assistance to pharmacist in preparing and distributing medications, charging and maintaining patient records. Hours may be irregular and include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays, as necessary.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Shift: Full-Time, Day Shift, Monday-Friday 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM. Hours may be irregular and include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays, as necessary .
Salary Range: Minimum 24.60/hour - Maximum 40.61/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
