Position Description:

• Individual will be an employee of the Fiber Plant Maintenance department. The person shall provide support to all areas of the fiber facility.
• Create purchase requisitions as needed for all Fiber Plant areas.
• Support Maintenance staff in material procurement and planning.
• Negotiate with suppliers regarding delivery times, production schedules, and forecasting needs.
• Act as point of contact for monthly and annual inventory procedures as defined by the Plant Controller.
• Comply with all applicable safety procedures and ISO14001 EMS guidelines.
• Maintain exceptional housekeeping in maintenance support areas.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or a member of management.

Education: Preferred

• Relevant Assoc. degree or equivalent experience.

Experience: Required:

• Must complete OJT for specific job classification, as required, in a timely manner, SAP Materials Management Module.

• Preferred: 
  • Experience in fiber optic manufacturing.

Skills/Attributes:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent negotiation, customer service and consulting skills.
• Strong market knowledge and experience in working across various functions, businesses and regions.
