LaSalle Network is partnering with a historic financial institution in Chicago to hire an experienced Accounting Manager. As Accounting Manager, you’ll oversee core accounting functions and regulatory reporting, playing a vital role in ensuring financial accuracy and compliance. This role requires a sharp eye for detail, a deep understanding of banking regulations, and the confidence to lead daily operations and strategic improvements.

Accounting Manager Responsibilities:

• Lead daily accounting functions including general ledger management, accounts payable, and investment postings
• Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial statements, Call Reports, and Federal Reserve Board (FRB) reports
• Oversee reconciliations of complex accounts and ensure compliance with GAAP
• Maintain accurate insurance and regulatory documentation
• Assist with annual tax filings and abandoned property reporting
• Manage weekly Public Funds Deposit and Collateralized Deposit Reports
• Support the development of the annual budget and forecasting process
• Validate reconciliations of due from banks and official checks
• Implement accounting procedures under CFO direction

Accounting Manager Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
• 7–10 years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in banking
• Advanced knowledge of GAAP and regulatory filings (Call Reports, FRB)
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
• Excel proficiency and experience with accounting systems
