Director of Technology
Reports to: Chief Financial Officer
Location:  Irvine, CA (On-Site) Eggs Unlimited is one of the world’s largest suppliers of eggs, servicing the biggest retail and food manufacturing companies around the globe. Job Summary:

Eggs Unlimited is a fast-growing, family-owned company headquartered in Irvine, California. As one of the largest egg companies in the U.S., we bring decades of experience across farming, procurement, logistics, and distribution. We are seeking a  Director of Technology to lead the development and execution of our technology strategy, driving innovation, operational efficiency, and scalable growth. This role will oversee IT infrastructure, internal software development, and enterprise systems, while integrating technologies from acquisitions and modernizing our tech stack.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a forward-thinking technology roadmap aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead digital transformation initiatives across departments.
  • Drive R&D in automation, AI, and data analytics to enhance decision-making and efficiency.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to align technology with operational needs.
  • Advise the executive team on technology investments, risks, and opportunities.
  • Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of IT infrastructure and systems.
  • Oversee internal software development to support custom business processes.
  • Evaluate and integrate technologies from acquired companies into the enterprise architecture.
  • Identify opportunities to consolidate or enhance systems for improved performance and scalability.
  • Ensure seamless integration between ERP and other core systems.
  • Select and manage software vendors, contracts, and performance metrics.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and assess their potential impact on the business.
  • Evaluation and monitoring of relevant IT policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience leading enterprise-wide digital transformation in a high-growth environment.
  • Proven track record of leading enterprise-wide digital transformation and scaling technology operations in a high-growth environment.
  • Prior experience deploying and managing ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central) with integrated sales, financial, and supply chain modules.
  • Deep understanding of heterogeneous software ecosystems, including design, development, and integration across legacy and modern platforms.
  • Demonstrated success implementing system-wide data analytics using AI, machine learning, and large language models (LLMs) to drive business insights and automation.
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and a track record of aligning tech with business goals.
  • Hands-on leadership experience building, mentoring, and managing technical teams in cross-functional environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in API development, system interoperability, and enterprise architecture design.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Must be available to work onsite in Irvine, CA, Monday through Friday.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Competitive base salary: $190,000 – $275,000 annually
